Listening to the sound of the rain, Sumika finds herself thinking back to her high school days.

She remembers visiting the local hydrangea festival with a childhood friend.
The shrine grounds damp with rain, the distant sound of a brass band, and hydrangeas blooming in shades of blue and purple.
Standing before the deity, the wish she made was simply: “May things stay exactly as they are.”

Time has passed since then, and their lives have drifted somewhat apart.
Yet, they still occasionally exchange casual, everyday words.

Then, amidst the Tokyo rain, his name suddenly appears on her smartphone screen.
It feels as though the wish she made back then is now transforming into love.
